I was tired of being angry at work

"Turning completely to God and knowing He was in control was my answer."

While walking our dog one evening after work, I found my-self yelling at her quite a bit. She sniffed too long, she went the wrong way, she didn't seem to be doing anything right. It was then I realized that I had a problem. Tension from the office was entering every aspect of my life. My days were filled with the struggle to accomplish too much in too short a time.

The first step in overcoming a problem is to realize that something needs correcting. So right then I resolved that walking the dog should be fun, and I could be joyful while doing it. It's natural for all of us to be joyous as children of God, good. Doing this seemed to be a struggle for some time, but I kept praying.

The pressure at home ended as I learned to question if all these things needed to be done and to eliminate those that didn't. But the problems at work did not stop. Some days were happy; most were not. I knew I should be joyous, but I wasn't with any degree of consistency.
