FROM THE EDITORS
As we were thinking in advance about this week's issue, the crash of TWA flight 800, the terrorist attack in Saudi Arabia, and the Atlanta bombing were much in our thoughts. News reports at the time of those events emphasized people's vulnerability and lack of safety. We felt it was valid to ask if the picture of life as fragile was the correct one, and we also wanted to provide ideas on the subject of terrorism that were more than platitudes.
"Securing safety through a change of heart" offers some in-depth spiritual concepts to consider. It's an article you may want to read more than once! Then, through its account of an experience in a wilderness storm, "Living without fear, a sure possibility" illustrates God's power to save from danger—and from fear—no matter where we are.
