Unburdened Christmas giving
A Friend of mine says that what she most enjoys about Christmas is "seeing people's faces when they open the presents I bought them."
She's not alone. Generosity invariably generates inner joy, for giving is actually an emanation of the all-embracing love of God.
Understanding this simple fact can change your whole approach to Christmas. What a difference between God-inspired giving—born of unselfish love—and the feeling of obligation, together with the commercialism that hides the essence of Christmas.
