I am truly grateful for a wonderful healing I had a little while ago. I was in the kitchen making dinner, which was to include an instant cheese sauce from a packet. The instructions were to place the contents into a jug, add boiling water, and stir. Well, I could not find the jug that I normally use, and I used my egg shaker because it had the measurements on the side. I'd poured in the hot water and begun to stir, when my six-year-old daughter asked, "Why don't you put the lid on?" I did, thinking if I shook it, it would mix more quickly.

But I should have known that the hot water would expand the plastic; the lid shot off, and I had boiling hot cheese sauce all over my hands. While the pain just screamed at me, I got a towel and wiped off my arms and hands. My husband rushed into the kitchen and ran some cold water in the sink. I put my hands and arm into the water. He suggested that I put something on my hands to prevent them from blistering.

It was then that I realised I had not been acting in a calm way, and that my husband and my daughter were becoming very fearful. I told my husband that I did not need anything, but asked if he would telephone a Christian Science practitioner. He did, and she said she would pray for me.
