Fruitage from focus on Science and Health
Recently , while I was praying about opportunities to share the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, a friend called, saying she felt "down" about life. I subsequently shared some spiritual ideas with her. She recognized that the ideas were founded on a spiritual basis, and asked the name of the religion I followed. When I told her it was Christian Science, she asked if we had a book about its teachings, and I responded by mentioning Science and Health. She asked if she could borrow a copy of the book and, of course, I said she could. She was so enthusiastic that she wanted to drive over the following day to collect it. But I knew I'd be seeing her on her birthday the coming weekend, and knowing that we live a long distance away from each other, I decided to take her a copy of our textbook as a gift. She was absolutely thrilled with it.
I'm so grateful for this clear demonstration that, as Mrs. Eddy said, "... whatever blesses one blesses all ..." (Science and Health, p. 206).
