Growing up in Christ
Despite, because of, stable beginnings
(No room in worldly-class inns for such profound purity)
Our child of Christly understanding will grow.
No Herod—loss-of-power terror becoming terrorism—
Can kill this precious babe for innocence
Finds Egyptian refuge in the secret place of Love.
And as infant spiritual understanding grows
Strong with increased wisdom and heavenly favor,
We finally full fill Christly stature
And awake, satisfied, in Mother-Father's likeness.
