Since my last testimony was published in this magazine (in...
Since my last testimony was published in this magazine (in October 1976), many other healings have occurred in my life through the study and practice of Christian Science.
Late in 1976, 1 took a temporary job at a new store. One of my duties was to set up metal display shelves. After I had set up a few, I turned to talk to someone. When I turned back, I bumped into one of the shelves and the metal edge cut me deeply above one of my eyebrows. Concern was expressed by co-workers who saw the cut, but I assured them that I would be all right. I sat down, applied a handkerchief to the cut, and prayed.
In my prayer, I found comfort through recognizing that in reality God, divine Principle, perfectly controls His spiritual idea, man. I also knew that harmony is the fact of man's true, spiritual identity as God's reflection. After several minutes the bleeding stopped. I continued to pray for myself, as co-workers were still looking at the cut and commenting on it.
