For children
All of us are the children of God
What can you do when you are treated in a way that is unfair and mean? When Allison Gates faced a situation like that, she and her mom, Amy, decided that they could pray. And when they did, something quite special resulted! Here they are, telling about the experience that happened last year when Allison was in the third grade.
Allison: Well, one day I was riding bikes with my friend Ali, who lives up the street from me. We were riding on a street called "Hillside." And the boy who lives at the end of the street had lots and lots of friends over, and they were riding bikes, too. It was like a party.
The boys started teasing me for some reason. I was going to ride up the driveway, but one of them sort of jerked his handlebars and his wheel. Because he jerked so fast, it made my bike fall over. I fell down and really hurt myself. I scraped my knees. After that, he said, "Boy, was that a nice one. I should do that again sometime."
