I have always loved the Bible, but Christian Science has enabled me to understand it better, above all its contemporary value as a spiritual guide to improved existence.

Before I knew of this Science, I worshiped God, but without knowing Him as my Life, my All. Christian Science has helped me to know Him as Life, Truth, Spirit, Love, Mind, Soul, Principle, the synonyms for God given in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Since I began the study of Science over thirty-six years ago, I have not spent one single day in bed because of illness.

Some years ago, when I went to visit a relative, I boarded a bus that was very crowded. I had to ride standing up and to grasp a handhold that was uncomfortably high for me. In addition, I was bounced back and forth by the many turns along the way.
