Many benefits have come to me through the study and practice of Christian Science, but a healing that occurred some years ago really stands out to me.
I was walking our daughter to her swimming practice one day when all of a sudden I could barely breathe. I told her to go on, and I sat down and just prayed to God for help. After spending a few minutes deeply considering spiritual truths of God and His care for man, I had some relief.
Things still were not normal, so when I returned home I called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer. We spoke of man's eternal oneness with God. She also shared inspiring statements from the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, including one from Acts that refers to God as giving "to all life, and breath, and all things." After a while I was breathing normally.
