My first healing was that of an aching jaw. I went to a doctor, thinking I had the mumps. The doctor said that the trouble was probably caused by my teeth and sent me to a dentist. The dentist said I was probably having sinus trouble and sent me back to the doctor. I was taking pills for the pain, but they were not helping.

At my wit's end and tired of suffering, I called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer. (My grandmother had been an active Scientist, and I remembered how it had helped her.) I was soon completely free. I knew practically nothing about Christian Science at the time, but after this healing I threw away all my medicine and took up the study of Science.

My husband and I raised six children with the help of Christian Science, and we are most grateful for its preventive and curative power. Attending a Christian Science Sunday School has blessed our children in many ways. They have been beautifully protected in motorcycle and car accidents. Their injuries and sicknesses, which were few, were quickly healed.
