It's time to get on with living
We can't spend the bulk of our lives waiting for life to begin!
Somehow it just doesn't make sense to judge people by the color of their hair. Blond, brown, black, or even fiery red has very little to do with our usefulness or our ability to love and give.
That's obvious enough, but what about all the stereotypes that tend to go with white hair? (Do you remember what you thought the first time you leaned into the mirror to take a closer look at your first white hair—and discovered two there?)
Not long ago my husband and I were visiting an older member of our community who is now confined to a wheelchair. At one point during the visit I remarked about a painting she had done in earlier years. Presuming that there was little now to fill her days, I encouraged her to take up her painting again.
