Aaron learns about listening
Aaron liked kindergarten. Every day he sat at his own desk, right next to this best friend, Danielle. Sometimes they shared their crayons or stood next to each other in line. Having a special friend like Danielle was the best thing about kindergarten.
But Aaron had to watch out for one thing. Sometimes he was so busy paying attention to Danielle that he wouldn't hear what his teacher, Miss Farrell, told the class. And when he didn't hear what Miss Farrell said, he didn't know what he was supposed to do.
Lately it had been extra hard to listen at school. Aaron felt as if there was something stuck in one ear that blocked out the sounds he was supposed to hear. Aaron told his mom about the trouble he was having, and together they prayed about it the way Christian Scientists do. That means they got themselves still and quiet and began to think about God, who is always with us. God is good, and His goodness is our model. He actually made us good, the way He is.
