"Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's," St. Paul says in Corinthians.

Some time ago a lump appeared in my breast that was alarming to me because of the publicity concerning such conditions. After requesting prayerful treatment from a Christian Science practitioner, I went to work myself on solving the problem through spiritual means. The first requirement was to handle fear. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, states, "Christian scientific practice begins with Christ's keynote of harmony, 'Be not afraid!'" Furthermore it states, "Anatomy, when conceived of spiritually, is mental self-knowledge, and consists in the dissection of thoughts to discover their quality, quantity, and origin."

After examining my thought more closely through prayer, I soon perceived that I had been struggling over a relationship with an individual who I felt had treated me poorly. I began to see that I could always love God's likeness, spiritual man, the real individuality of each one of us. Discerning the situation from a spiritual point of view enabled me to overcome resentment, and I regained my peace. Also, as a result of this prayer the lump disappeared, and I have not experienced this difficulty again.
