Overcoming examination fear
We all face testing times of one sort or another. I discovered in my own life that prayer makes an important difference in how we meet the challenges.
Sometimes it seems as if life were just one test after another! These tests may include high-school or college midterms and finals, musical auditions, professional qualifying examinations. We may also feel tested by less structured events such as starting a new job, making a deadline, meeting prospective in-laws.
Such situations may have an element of uncertainty, and to varying degrees we may feel fear or anxiety. Or we may doubt our ability or lack the confidence to use what we do know.
These feelings arise because it is generally believed that each of us is one of millions of persons with separate, somewhat limited minds of our own. Depending mainly on training and heredity, these little minds appear to have widely ranging abilities and capacities.
