FROM THE Directors

From this point in history it is possible to look back over a hundred years and see some of the ways in which John's prophecy is being fulfilled. From time to time a few prominent people as well as the vox populi speak out in defense of Mary Baker Eddy and her discovery, Christian Science.

In addition, progressive invention and human expertise have successfully been adapted and used to serve the Cause our Leader founded. In the early part of the century the pace of new discoveries was sufficiently measured to allow people the luxury of gentle assimilation.

For example, when the telephone was first discovered, its usefulness to the public healing work of Christian Science would have been apparent, even though to some the invention might have seemed a threat to the warmth and Christliness people felt when a practitioner came to the home.
