Christian Science was introduced to me well over sixty years ago. In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we read: "Man. The compound idea of infinite Spirit; the spiritual image and likeness of God; the full representation of Mind." Because I was reared with very different beliefs, it took a long time for me to really grasp the fact that God made man in His own image. The Bible and Science and Health were (and are now) studied by me every day, and the knowledge that I gained and put into practice opened a new, lovely life. I joined The Mother Church and a local branch church, had Christian Science class instruction, and gained the desire to share the joy, love, and harmony that I found through studying Christian Science.

Science has healed me of a severe heart condition, broken bones, the tobacco habit, as well as impatience and other ungodlike traits. I have also witnessed many healings of others.

At one point in recent years one foot became very painful. I prayed and practiced the truths I had learned. It did get better, but then both feet became affected. Walking and sleeping were next to impossible. I then did "pray without ceasing" (I Thessalonians) and trusted God as we're told in Proverbs to do: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." I knew I could trust God completely, and I did.
