Healing in the middle of the night
Katie loves to play with bubbles. She knows how to blow slowly through the bubble wand to make one big bubble. She can blow quickly to make lots of little bubbles. She also knows how to pour the bubble-bath liquid right under the running water in the bathtub to make it full of fluffy bubbles. But until one special night Katie didn't know that she could learn a lesson from bubbles.
It was very late that night. Katie was asleep and her room was dark. Then she woke up and began crying because her ear hurt. Katie wanted to go back to sleep, but she couldn't stop crying. She was sure that God was there taking care of her, but somehow the pain and the darkness made it hard to be calm and feel close to God.
Mommy heard Katie crying and came to help her. Katie listened while Mommy told her that God loved her and she was His perfect child. Mommy hugged her close, but Katie still felt like crying. Finally Mommy said, "Let's sit up and turn the light on so we're really awake enough to listen to God."
