Forgiveness—a grace of Love
The need to forgive may be prompted by conscience. But it is divine Love that makes forgiveness possible.
Aunt No. 1 was easy to get along with. Cheerfully I sent her a Valentine's Day card. The next day my conscience stung me. Why not send a greeting to Aunt No. 2?
Why indeed? I argued back. She had a sharp tongue, a critical eye, and plunged like a war horse into other people's business, including our family's.
But a conscience cultivated by regular study of the Bible and its illuminating companion, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, is not an easy thing to silence.
