Since I began studying Christian Science forty years ago, I have relied on the teachings of this Science in all things. The better I have understood God's laws and the more consistently I have applied them, the happier and more productive my life has become.

When physical difficulties have arisen, I have always relied on prayer and on the inspiration and spiritual understanding that have come to me through the study of Christian Science; and I have always been healed. I have also been able to witness many healings in my family and among Christian Scientist friends.

My first testimony appeared in The Christian Science Journal for December 1979 and in the German edition of The Herald of Christian Science for August 1980. Now I would like to relate a healing that I experienced about six years ago. My dear mother had had trouble for many years with what the doctors whom she had consulted had called arthritis, or arthrosis, of the knees.
