A little light
It seemed my light was just
So small.
I know, God's light is infinite—
But what I'd proved
Seemed no more than a flicker
In the dark
So big, that dark!
So far, its unseen end.
But then an angel thought:
"It is enough, the light you've gained.
Enough for now.
Enough to light your way
For just one step. And then ...
The next.
And then the next.
Because that light is yours;
And like a miner's lamp,
Fixed to his hat,
It goes with you.
And as you go—
Your light will grow."
The way awaits.
Awake,
And go.
