What did you accept today?
Who among us has not been taken in at one time or another by some bit of information? If we didn't stop to think about it, we may even have reacted to what we heard.
It is essential to challenge within consciousness reports of sickness, poverty, injustice, and to deny time, place, or power to these suggestions. We don't need to accept them as part of our—or others'—true being. Mrs. Eddy writes, "Because a belief originates unseen, the mental state should be continually watched that it may not produce blindly its bad effects." Science and Health, p. 377.
Truth's power outweighs error's false suggestions. When we look for Truth and focus on the spiritual facts of being, we will not be deluded by material beliefs. Christ Jesus gave us this precise instruction: "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32 .
