Don't pollute the mental atmosphere!

The first—and worst—case of air pollution is recorded in the allegorical second chapter of Genesis, where we are told, "There went up a mist from the earth." Gen. 2:6.

This mist supposedly obscures God, Spirit, and His eternally perfect creation; and the account introduces a material man, living in a state of limbo, in which evil is a co-power with God and has the ability to interfere with His omnipotent government of His own image and likeness.

Much is being said and done about air pollution today. While this is certainly important, shouldn't we be even more concerned with cleaning up earth's mental atmosphere?
