Christ Jesus, late in his brief earthly ministry, prayed, "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. " John 17:5 ; The Master knew that his true being was eternally existent in God, and this existence was glorious! He clearly understood that his identity was not a past condition—something merely to be remembered—but the permanent expression of perfection.
