Truth—the world's savior from destructive evil
Today there is great need throughout society for a more pervasive understanding of legitimate Christianity. No citizen with any knowledge of God and any conscience at all dare fail to make a consistent, humble effort to deepen his own perception of God and God's infinite, loving care for all His children. For God's truth, understood, is the only savior of mankind.
Christian Science has given humanity a systematic method of awakening to the love of God through the destruction of the evil beliefs that appear to separate them from God. Christ Jesus is our supreme example in this prayerful process, and the Bible is our inspired handbook.
It is the truth of God and man as recorded in the Bible, demonstrated by Jesus, and scientifically explained by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures that can gradually awaken each human consciousness to infinite divine Love. The understanding of our true, spiritual individuality as sons and daughters of God wipes out of our experience the negative effects of materialistic belief and aims—the failures and fears, the mortal limitations, the sorrows and regrets, the selfishness and hardness of heart. These begin to fade like the bad dreams they are as the recognition of our spiritual individuality reveals the presence and wholeness of divine goodness.
