About a year ago I had a stroke. My son and daughter, who both live a distance from me, are not Christian Scientists. But they respected my wishes, when they were notified of my condition, and phoned a Christian Science practitioner to request that she pray for me. As I live alone, it seemed best for me to go to a sanatorium for Christian Scientists.

The treatment by the practitioner was effective, for when my family visited me the following day, I was conscious and alert. I spoke with the practitioner many times over the phone during my stay, and she gave me several citations to study from Miscellaneous Writings by Mrs. Eddy.

After two weeks of loving care in the nursing facility, I was able to walk to my daughter's car and return home. My daughter stayed with me for a week and then went back to her work and home.
