One Mind means no accidents

If God could cause accidents, then He would have to be something less than Love. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes: "The ever-recurring human question and wonder, What is God? can never be answered satisfactorily by human hypotheses or philosophy. Divine metaphysics and St. John have answered this great question forever in these words: 'God is Love.'" Message to The Mother Church for 1902, But if God is Love and God is All, why does He allow accidents to happen? one might ask.

The answer is absolute in divine Science: the Love that is unerring Mind never has caused nor ever will cause an accident. Divine Mind does not allow them to happen, and therefore they are not real.

This may seem a bit strange to someone who is unfamiliar with the fact that man, God's idea, reflects the all–harmonious government of divine Mind. The all–loving Father–Mother God holds us in the perfect order and beauty of all–harmonious government, which includes freedom from accidents.
