My first healing in Christian Science, which occurred nearly sixty years ago, was of tonsillitis. From early childhood I had suffered from this illness every winter. Finally I had my tonsils removed, yet the trouble continued.
At a time when I was ill with this disease, someone kindly gave me a pamphlet on Christian Science. While I was reading it my spiritual sense was awakened to glimpse the fact that Christian Science reveals the truth of God and man in His perfect likeness. This realization and acknowledgment of the ever-presence and availability of Christ, Truth, healed me permanently.
Some years ago I was healed of arthritis. For several months, besides having occasional help from Christian Science practitioners, I delved deeply into the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy to find freedom from the restriction to my activity which this condition imposed upon me.
