Words cannot express my gratitude for having been brought into the study of Christian Science; it has blessed my life immeasurably and has fulfilled a lifelong desire to understand how Christ Jesus did his healing work. Right from early youth I wondered why we could not heal as he did.

For many years I suffered severely from migraine headaches. These were completely healed through daily study of the Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly. Through Christian Science I have been healed of burns, scalds, and the bite of a funnel-web spider, which at first occasioned severe pain. I declared man to be a spiritual idea, and the pain stopped instantly with no further effect. In Mark's Gospel it is recorded (16:17, 18): "These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." How true!

In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 323): "The effects of Christian Science are not so much seen as felt. It is the 'still, small voice' of Truth uttering itself. We are either turning away from this utterance, or we are listening to it and going up higher." I have always found that God's " 'still, small voice' " is ever present to protect, guard, guide, and to teach us what we need to know.
