Christian Science was brought to my attention after I saw my husband regain his health. He had learned of Christian Science when he went to live with a family of Christian Scientists after his discharge from the Army. Army doctors had given him one year to live, but he was here for forty-three years following that. We raised four children, and he lived to see them all married and to enjoy his grandchildren.

He had Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy when we married. When I was carrying my first child, I began reading it and have continued studying this precious book for many years.

Many healings have been accomplished in our family—through faith and later with increasing understanding as I earnestly worked with the Bible and with Science and Health to know more of God's goodness and help. So-called children's diseases, including chicken pox, earache, constipation, and scarlet fever were quickly healed; and many others were avoided.
