I had been introduced to Christian Science about two years before I began studying seriously Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

When I applied for a job at a factory, I had to be examined by the company doctor before I could start to work. I was not aware of a fibroid tumor. After getting the report, I became alarmed. It seemed from that moment it began to get larger.

A friend of mine said to me, "Why don't you call a Christian Science practitioner, since you are so interested in Christian Science?" I looked in The Christian Science Journal, selected a name, and made an appointment. The practitioner was most kind and said she would give me prayerful treatment.
