Practice Is the Way

The greatest healer who ever lived, Christ Jesus, was always conscious of one thing: his eternal unity with God. He never let go of that fact. During the Feast of the Dedication in the temple at Jerusalem, at a point in his career when he had proved his sonship with God through many wonderful healings, he was questioned as to his true identity. He answered plainly, concluding with the words, "I and my Father are one." John 10:30;

It was Jesus' unparalleled understanding of this great verity that enabled him to heal physical and mental disease and to overcome death. However, Jesus did not limit such healing ability to himself. In fact, he indicated that anyone who believed in the power of the Christ could heal. He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." 14:12; Was he not encouraging those who heard him, and all of us, to begin at once to learn of and to develop that state of spiritualized thought which heals and which also leads to worthwhile living and a truly satisfying career?

Such activity immeasurably blesses the doer and his work. But where do we start in this effort?
