"I've just fallen out of love," I declared, bursting through the door.
"You can never fall out of Love," my friend instantly countered.
Someone whom I had loved for many months had just told me our relationship was ended. I felt as if my whole world had broken apart and left me stranded. Activities in the circle of friends who had seen us together loomed only as agonizing encounters. The future suddenly looked barren, even threatening.
