Over twenty years ago I was told by an eminent neurologist that I would be a semi-invalid the rest of my life. Since I was in my twenties at the time, that wasn't a pleasant prospect. I denied this prediction to myself but faithfully followed his orders.

Shortly after that several relatives brought Christian Science to my attention. Eventually I read a book about Christian Science and Mary Baker Eddy. This so stirred my interest that I immediately began reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy.

The statements she makes here answered so many of my questions about man's real being and purpose. I was halfway through the book when I said to myself, "If I believe this to be truth, then I must follow it." I went to the medicine cabinet and threw out all the pills. I no longer rested several times a day. I began to live a normal, vigorous, full and useful life, free from fear and despair. Science and Health was my constant companion. The change I underwent was marvelous.
