With heartfelt gratitude to God, I wish to submit this testimony. Recently, I have had two healings of painful conditions through the application of the truths that I have learned in my study of Christian Science of more than fifty years.

A few months ago I suffered pain from my head to my feet, I could not lie down at night, but sat up in my chair almost all night long. I read and prayed to realize the unreality of this painful physical condition. I declared, over and over, that where the error seemed to be, the consciousness of the Christ was right there—there was no other consciousness but of God and His goodness and perfection, which I reflected. I declared many other statements of truth, and I knew God's law of perfection was in operation always and could not be reversed. This went on for about ten days when all the suffering left me as suddenly as it had appeared, and I was grateful.

The other condition healed was more frightening, but it was proved to be unreal too. On one ankle there was a lump. My leg became swollen and stiff and was painful. I knew this was just another challenge for me to prove the allness of God's law. As I have always repeated the ninety-first Psalm every morning, I applied these truths (vv. 10, 11): "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
