I am grateful that I attended a Christian Science Sunday School. It was there I began to learn that the truth as revealed through a study of the Bible, and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy can solve problems of any kind and is not limited to physical healing. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."

Late in the summer of 1971 I was given a deadline. My Ph.D. dissertation had to be completed and accepted by the middle of November. Even though the professor overseeing my research had requested an additional specific demonstration of the practical application of my work, I felt confident that, as I relied on God, the work would be done correctly and on time. Several times previously during my graduate work problems had been successfully solved through my own prayers or with the help of a Christian Science practitioner.

My research required extensive use of digital computers, and the professor's request meant that my computer programs had to be rewritten for use on a new computer system. During this rewrite several problems were uncovered and solved through prayer.
