The Call and the Answer

An Old Testament prophet assures us of God's nearness and readiness to bless those who rely on Him: "It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."^{Isa. 65:24;} When we look beyond the need into our oneness with ever-present, all-inclusive divine intelligence, we find the answer at hand.

The teachings of Christian Science confirm this scriptural promise. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes: "The 'divine ear' is not an auditory nerve. It is the all-hearing and all-knowing Mind, to whom each need of man is always known and by whom it will be supplied."^{Science and Health, p. 7;}

God, all-knowing Mind, is the divine, loving intelligence always present, revealing the answer to our need in ways we can see and understand. Whether the need is for employment, companionship, health, or any help, divine Mind answers. It shows what we already have by reflection of man's divine creator.
