Christian Science has been practiced in my family for six generations. I would like to tell of several demonstrations of the power of Truth which have been interesting to me.

One morning I wakened with the symptoms of a severe cold. Before arising I thought surely I could not go to work that day. However, just as I arose, the thought came to me so clearly, "Man is spiritual," that no symptoms of the cold remained. It was a startling change, and a wonderful proof of God's presence.

On another occasion, when I clearly saw that nothing can be lost in God's kingdom, that an idea cannot be lost in the omnipresent Mind, this reasoning enabled me to recover a lost article. I felt directed to look in a certain place to find a small diamond that had come out of my ring during a day when I had been active at the office—working with files, typing, and so forth.
