The Business of Living
Everyone in the world is in business—the business of living. We all have managerial responsibilities—the management of our own lives. No one can opt out or retire from this management business. If we stay at home and refuse to work, escape from conventional society and live under the stars without possessions or objectives, or delegate to others the care of our affairs and destiny—we are still in the business of living, but we are not making the success of it that we could if we approached it with more understanding of the power of Spirit.
Christian Science maintains that coexistent with the necessity to perform the business of our lives is invariably the ability to do it wisely and constructively, and then to follow through to a supremely successful conclusion. The universe He creates is the expression of His greatness and grandeur. He forever embraces it, governing its every detail with laws of harmony, and He ensures its perfect development. His nature is reflected in each individual idea that emanates from Him.

Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: "Deity was satisfied with His work.
