Handling Crises
It is encouraging to know there is a solution to every problem, including an apparent crisis connected with food, energy, money, or employment.
We need not panic when faced with a difficult situation. Instead we can confidently follow the advice of James, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." James 4:8; Reaching out to God humbly and prayerfully, we feel His presence. God is Love, omnipresent, omnipotent. Divine Love is all good, ever caring for man and the universe. The realization of Love's presence and strength assures us of God's protection and care no matter how menacing the situation.
Spiritual understanding helps us surmount—and even forestall —crises. Christian Science instructs us, as the Scriptures clearly imply, that God is All-in-all, wholly good; that His creation, man and the universe, is perfect like Himself; and that His creation constitutes the sole reality of existence. Hence the impossibility of an emergency in the kingdom of God, good.
