I would like to testify to a healing of a breast tumor which took place fifteen years ago. I am deeply grateful for this healing and for the lessons learned during the process of the healing.
I had been using the truths available in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, very faithfully for about one and one-half years without visible results. I then began at that time to study in depth the statement on pages 377-378 of the textbook which begins, "It is latent belief in disease, as well as the fear of disease, which associates sickness with certain circumstances and causes the two to appear conjoined, even as poetry and music are reproduced in union by human memory."
The word "latent" was the key which opened the door to the healing. From the dictionary I learned that "latent" applies to "that which is present without showing itself." A synonym for "latent" is "potential." One meaning of the word "potential" is that "which, though not actually existing now, may come into existence at some future time."
