Health and Wholeness
The achievement of health may appear to some to be an impossible dream. However, such pessimism is not well founded. Health, Christian Science teaches, is a permanent quality of God, Spirit, and can be demonstrated through the consecrated spiritualization of our thinking. Health is a fact of our true being now. Man's health is really his wholeness. Seeing ourselves as expressions of God, we can prove this today as immediately and as efficaciously as Christ Jesus did twenty centuries ago.
The teachings of Christian Science demonstrate that God and man are inseparable as Principle and idea. Man is the reflection of God, and nothing can dissolve the unity of God and man, for neither has entity without the other. These statements are well supported by the teachings of the master Metaphysician, Christ Jesus, who forthrightly declared, "I and my Father are one." John 10:30;
It is impossible to consider man without understanding his relationship to God, eternal good. Health is not variable, because God is changeless, eternal Being. Health cannot be poor because, as Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, states, "God is All, in all." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 26; He could not create anything that did not express His nature—His goodness, purity, love, and eternality. Health can't be lacking, because God fills all space and governs all real being.
