Are "Miracles" Miraculous?

Various events in the Bible challenge human reason, run counter to material law, and therefore are considered by many as unexplainable, even fictional. Among them are the healings Jesus performed. Are these miraculous in the sense of being inexplicable or supernatural? Christian Science says No, explaining that they are the natural outcome of the application of spiritual law.

Through the study of Christian Science one not only comes to understand this but has proofs of it in his own life. Mrs. Eddy puts the point succinctly in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health: "A miracle fulfils God's law, but does not violate that law." Science and Health, p. 134;

Christ Jesus had no mental reservations when he told his disciples, "With God all things are possible." Matt. 19:26; Christian Science explains how each of us can prove this saying of Jesus'. It shows that God, the first and only cause of all existence, creates spiritually and perfectly, and eternally maintains His universe in its natural state of good. The understanding of this truth restores health and harmony, reversing the erring, material belief in the possibility of discord.
