Why Is Christmas?
Luke, Chapter 2
God's love shone
like a bright star
one night
in Bethlehem
many years ago.
Angel songs of joy
filled the air.
In a lowly stable—
in a manger—
a precious babe
was born.
As he grew up
he pleased both God
and man.
Christ Jesus was
his name.
He said:
"I am come a light
into the world." John 12:46.
What is this light
he came to show us?
God gives us life forever.
God can heal us,
bring us peace and joy.
We should love God, too,
and His children everywhere.
