Health-Demonstrable by All

How some of us yearn for health, for happiness and harmony! We look for these all around us, wishfully hoping that in some way we might be blessed by being healthy and happy.

While it is normal and natural for us to express health, health is not ours by some strange coincidence—or right for some and not for others. It is our divine heritage, our divine right. But health has to be demonstrated, and it can be by all who are willing to accept good as the only real power.

Even if one is usually health, he needs to understand how to keep healthy. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy points out, "We think that we are healed when a disease disappears, though it is liable to reappear; but we are never thoroughly healed until the liability to be ill is removed." And on the next page she writes, "If God heals not the sick, they are not healed, for no lesser power equals the infinite All-power; but God, Truth, Life, Love, does heal the sick through the prayer of the righteous."
