Give Disease an Ultimatum: Out!
When we discern with deep conviction and spiritual understanding that God, Spirit, is All and that our real being is the reflection of Spirit, we awake to our God-given dominion and health. We can give disease an ultimatum: Out!
How can we gain this discernment? It is essential to know that God, divine Mind—who is also Love, Truth, and Life—is omnipresent being. God is good. God is perfect. Then our individual, spiritual selfhood as God's reflection or idea, is whole, perfect, and intact. In reality, man dwells in Spirit. He is perfect and complete forever. God gives man only love and good. Infinite Spirit never made matter, sin, disease, material birth, or death. These evidences of mortality are human misconceptions about perfect God and man. That true man cannot be touched by lies.
As we love and accept the immortal truths of being into our thinking and live them, we gain in spiritual understanding. We feel the presence of the Christ. Suggestions of resistance to Spirit, of pressure, tension, friction, progressively disappear from our thought and lessen in our experience. As we increase in spiritual understanding of our Christly, genuine being, healing becomes spontaneous. Mrs. Eddy points out in Science and Health, "If Spirit or the power of divine Love bear witness to the truth, this is the ultimatum, the scientific way, and the healing is instantaneous."
