Christian Science has served my need for the past fifty years

Christian Science has served my need for the past fifty years. During this period Mind, God, has been my only medicine. I was protected from having what are usually labeled children's diseases and enabled to attend twelve years of school without absenteeism.

The truths of Science were applied in an experience while I was attending high school and rode a bicycle fourteen miles a day. One evening as I was coming home, I was thrown from the bicycle and hit the road on my left side, injuring my kneecap. An infection set in, and the appearance was alarming. With the support of my mother, who was a Christian Scientist, and the specific prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was healed. I missed no time from school, although my father had to take me there for a month until I was able to pedal my bicycle again.

Once I sustained a back injury from lifting heavy truck tires. Through Christian Science treatment I was healed and have had no further difficulty with my back. Fifteen years ago I was healed of bleeding hemorrhoids. The statement "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized," which Mrs. Eddy gives in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 167), together with treatment from a practitioner, brought a permanent healing.
