Truth versus Time
One of the most aggressive arguments of evil is that a particular problem is unsolvable because it has gone on for a long time. Perhaps a disease or sin or an inhibition appears inescapable. It just seems to be there day after day.
This argument is insupportable. It is a hypnotic suggestion of evil tending to prolong a problem by diverting our attention from the basic fact. And this fact is that right now, forever, man is the spiritual image of his creator, God. He is perfect because God is perfect. He isn't diseased, he isn't insecure, he isn't sinful. Nor will he be so tomorrow, nor was he yesterday. Right now he is well, and right now he is conscious of his pure, strong, and satisfying existence in God.
Time is no excuse for evil, and one need not be discouraged by the claim that time is insurmountable. There was never a moment when a lie was true. Therefore time has nothing to do with one's real life or identity. Only Truth, God, is real. And Truth is now.
