Some, years ago my physical condition was becoming alarming; I was always tired and continued to lose weight regardless of the amount I ate. I finally realized that I had to do something drastic, or I would not be able to continue working. I had been attending a Church of Christ, Scientist, for some time, and was impressed by the logic of what I heard at church services. However, I seemed unable to apply the truths I heard to my need for better health.

Finally I decided to read the last chapter, entitled "Fruitage," in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. This chapter includes testimonies written by people who were healed by reading Science and Health. I was encouraged by these testimonies to read the entire book and expect healing to follow. As I was in a weakened condition, it took three months to complete the reading.
