"Divine favor on earth" is an expression used in the Buddhist religion. There are many Buddhists in Japan, so I will borrow their words and tell my experience regarding the "divine favor on earth" in Christian Science, namely healing.

Of course, I did not come into the study of Christian Science because I wanted "divine favor on earth." However, I had what might be called a conviction that a real religion must save mankind not only mentally but also physically. The fact that God exists is not to be denied. Therefore I felt that God, the omnipotent, omniscient, and supreme governor must necessarily save us from earthly sufferings, and when I learned of Christian Science, my prayer was answered. It was a great joy for me when I found that suffering on earth is only a dream.

When a child and during my youth, I suffered from a gastroenteric disorder and from anemia, and was always nervous and irritable. But after I began the study of Christian Science, I became entirely healthy and my character changed to a bright and cheerful one. I was healed of chronic weak stomach, malignant catarrh of the colon, gastric atony, and scabies through prayer in Science.
